Mary Payne Gilbert is the lead host of Pink Shade, a podcast that recaps reality television across a variety of channels including Bravo franchises, TLC franchises and new documentaries streaming on Hulu, HBO Max, Netflix and more. Gilbert turned her love, and sometimes hatred, of reality television into a business with her detailed storytelling abilities and Southern charm.
Prior to Pink Shade, Gilbert created and hosted “Payne in the Pod” for two years, which was a podcast about podcasts. Gilbert interviewed popular podcasters to discuss their careers and passions with a variety of topics and produced 93 original episodes of “Payne in the Pod,” which is still available on Apple Podcasts.
She has worked in various positions in telecom, law, and retail in Alexandria, Virginia, Washington, D.C., and Clinton, Mississippi.
